Hello and welcome to the first week of Travelling the Pages. Grab your boarding pass and lets go! We’re off to Canada: home of hockey, poutine, and Tim Horton’s! As I stated in my intro post, we decided to start our trip around the world with Canada as that is where both Chelsea and I are from. And plus, America’s hat is so often forgotten about in the world of books, even though we are so close!
So your goal for this week is to do something Canadian! Read a book that takes place in Canada, or is written by a Canadian author. Play a Canadian sport, like hockey or basketball. Eat some Canadian food such as poutine (french fries, gravy and cheese curds) or have some maple syrup! Embrace your inner Canadian!
If you are looking for some recommendations, I’ll give you a few below!
Favourite Canadian Author – Kelley Armstrong
Favourite Canadian Comic Artist – Svetlana Chmakova
Favourite book taking place in Canada – City of the Lost by Kelley Armstrong
Mystery novel taking place in Canada – Still Life by Louise Penny
Leave a little comment below with what you will be doing/reading for the first leg of Travelling the Pages!
