Ten Characters I’d Name A Dog After

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish in June 2010. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We’d love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!

Each week we will post a new Top Ten list that one of our bloggers at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. This weeks TTT is going to be so much fun! Since I am never having children, I decided to do 10 characters I’d name a dog after! So let’s get started and see which characters names I love the most!

1) Luna – I had to start off with Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter because I actually have an Australian Shepherd puppy who is 10 months old named Luna. It wasn’t my top choice of Harry Potter names, but it was the one the boyfriend let me get away with!

2) Padfoot – I know it’s another Harry Potter name, but if I ever get a big black dog, you can guarantee I’ll be naming him Padfoot.

3) Clay/Clayton – Clayton is one of my favourite characters in the Woman of the Otherworld series. He shows up in Bitten and Stolen, as well as others, but he is mostly in these two. He is a bit of an ass, but I find him hilarious.

4) Dom – It’s not a book character, but Dominic Toretto is my favourite character in the Fast and Furious series and I’d love a doberman named Dom. Have for years.

5) Finn – I absolutely loved Finn from Summer of Sloane, so I’d totally use this as a dog name! I’d pick Sloane, but I can’t picture a dog named Sloane haha

6) Nadia – Nadia from the Nadia Stafford series is such a badass, which she’d have to be as an hit-woman. This series is just fantastic and I’d love to have a dog named after this badass woman.

7) Inej – Inej from Six of Crows is another badass I’d have no problem naming my newest fur baby after.

8) Kaz – Another one from Six of Crows but seriously, Leigh Bardugo knows how to make badass characters and how to name them haha.

9) Jesper – yes, yes, Six of Crows again but he is my favourite character from this series, so how could I not put his name down?

10) Vhalla – Vhalla from Air Awakens was the runner up for names that we almost used for our current dog named Luna. I apparently have a thing for naming animals after badass woman.
